The LongHorn gluten-free menu covers every Legendary Steak, plus grilled chicken, shrimp, salmon, ribs, and most sides. Gluten-sensitive entrees cost $16.99 to $37.99, and sides start at $3.99. LongHorn calls these items “gluten-sensitive,” not gluten-free, because its kitchens share grills, fryers, and prep space.

Does LongHorn Steakhouse Have a Gluten-Free Menu?
Yes, in the form of a gluten-sensitive guide. LongHorn does not print a separate gluten-free menu card. Instead, its Nutrition, Gluten-Sensitive and Allergen Guide lists items made without gluten-containing ingredients. Some need a small change, such as no croutons or no bun.
Does LongHorn Offer Gluten-Free Options?
Yes. LongHorn offers gluten-free options in almost every part of the menu. Steaks, grilled chicken, shrimp, ribs, salads, potatoes, rice, and two soups all qualify. Appetizers, bread, and most desserts do not.
What “Gluten-Sensitive” Means at LongHorn
Gluten-sensitive means the item is made without gluten-containing ingredients. It does not mean the kitchen is gluten-free. LongHorn says it “cannot guarantee any item is free of gluten” because of shared cooking areas and supplier information. Many restaurants keep a printed copy of the guide, so ask your server for it.
Is There a LongHorn Gluten-Free Menu PDF?
Yes, two of them. LongHorn’s official nutrition and allergen guide PDF has the gluten-sensitive list on pages 16 and 17. It is valid as of August 10, 2026. That same PDF also serves as LongHorn’s allergen menu for 2026.

The Parmesan Crusted Chicken keeps its cheese and garlic topping without the breadcrumbs, per a 2025 Chowhound guide. The salmon marinade is soy-based, so order the salmon plain. Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenders and the Chop Steak are not on the list.

Every salad on the list needs two requests: no croutons, and a separate mixing bowl. LongHorn’s own guide asks for both.

The field greens and Caesar entree salads also come with chicken, shrimp, or sirloin. Order the salmon versions without marinade. All six dressings are on the list: White Balsamic Vinaigrette, Ranch, Caesar, Honey Mustard, Thousand Island, and Blue Cheese.

The Mashed Potato Gravy is not on the list, so order the potatoes plain. Crispy Brussels Sprouts and Steakhouse Mac & Cheese are not on the 2026 list either.
Are LongHorn Fries Gluten-Free?
LongHorn lists the Seasoned French Fries as gluten-sensitive. But its allergen guide says fryer items may touch all allergens. Some reviewers report fryers shared with breaded chicken. If you have celiac disease, choose a baked potato instead.
Are LongHorn Parmesan Fries Gluten-Free?
We found no Parmesan fries on LongHorn’s 2026 menu or in its guide. The Seasoned French Fries are the only fries listed. The Parmesan Cheese Crust is not on the gluten-sensitive list, so don’t ask for it on fries or steak.
Is LongHorn Rice Pilaf Gluten-Free?
Yes, per LongHorn’s 2026 guide. The Seasoned Rice Pilaf is on the gluten-sensitive list as served, at 230 calories and $3.99. Many restaurant pilafs include orzo pasta, so recipes matter. Ask your server to confirm if you are highly sensitive.
Is the Potato Soup at LongHorn Gluten-Free?
Yes, per LongHorn’s 2026 guide. The Loaded Potato Soup is on the gluten-sensitive list as served. A bowl costs $6.49 and has 380 calories. A cup has 270 calories. The Shrimp & Lobster Chowder is on the list too, but the French Onion Soup is not.
Does LongHorn Steakhouse Have Gluten-Free Appetizers?

Is There a Gluten-Free Dessert at LongHorn?
Only one. Vanilla Bean Ice Cream is the single dessert on LongHorn’s gluten-sensitive list. The Chocolate Stampede, Molten Lava Cake, The Cheesecake, and Strawberries & Cream Shortcake are not on it. Is LongHorn Safe for Celiac Disease?
LongHorn works well for many gluten-free diners, but it is not a dedicated gluten-free kitchen. Its guide says gluten-sensitive items “may not meet the definition of ‘gluten-free'” for highly sensitive guests. Grills and fryers are shared.
Celiac diners report mixed but mostly positive visits. We read 50 reviews of LongHorn locations on Find Me Gluten Free. Of those, 36 gave an Excellent rating. Common praise covered servers who flagged orders and managers who checked in. The main complaints were shared fryers and croutons left on salads. Three reviewers said they felt sick after eating.
Your risk depends on the restaurant and the shift. If you react to trace gluten, stick to grilled steak, a plain baked potato, and steamed vegetables.
How to Order Gluten-Free at LongHorn
A clear order makes the biggest difference. These five steps follow LongHorn’s own guide.
- Tell your server first. Say you are avoiding gluten before you order anything. Ask for the gluten-sensitive guide.
- Skip the bread. Ask the server not to bring the honey wheat bread to your table.
- Make the changes. Ask for no croutons, no bun, no breadcrumbs, or no marinade where the tables above say so.
- Ask for a separate bowl. Request that your salad be tossed in a clean mixing bowl.
- Avoid the fryer. Choose a baked potato, rice, or steamed vegetables over fries if you have celiac disease.
